Economic Development
Work in this area is led by Professors Rigoberto Lopez, Boris Bravo-Ureta, Robert Pomeroy, and a new Assistant Professor who is being hired. Research focuses on agricultural and food systems in the state, the region, and the nation and engages stakeholders and policy makers, including members of the U.S. Congress. The Center engages leading researchers and policy-makers worldwide to advance international economic development research and outreach, with particular attention to fisheries, food chains, sustainable agriculture, and natural resource management in the developing world.
